James Ward

James Ward has taken care of numerous species of animals throughout his life. His first pet was a Green Iguana named Sunshine. Oh how he loved her. Sunshine would sit on his shoulder after school walking about the house while James did his chores and played. As time went on he adopted many more Green Iguana's from homes that no longer had the ability to take care of them. This obsession grew and grew throughout James life. As he got older his passion never seemed to weaken or stray from him. Even though he didn't go for any formal education at first, he learned so much just from taking care of the animals on a daily basis. James soon found out that there was a lot that he didn't know because the information just wasn't out there to find. James has taken care of various animals for over 17 years now.  One of his hero's is Steve Irwin (The Crocodile Hunter). Steve is his inspiration and helped his love for animals grow into what it is now.

James currently resides in Beckley, West Virginia where he attends college at Mountain State University. The ultimate goal is to get a PhD in Biology. As he now knows that it is what he was meant to do. James also volunteered at a local animal hospital for a while and volunteered at the United States Department of Agriculture in Agricultural Research.

During this time James has two parrots Poncho and Paulie, Darwin the Nile Monitor, and Jules the ferret. While most of his experience comes from taking care of exotics such as Burmese Pythons, Reticulated Pythons, African Rock Pythons, Ball Pythons, Green Iguanas, different types of monitor lizards, Caimans, Alligators, various parrots, and wolf hybrids; James is also knowledgeable about others like dogs, cats, hamsters, and Guinea pigs as well.
